Haven’t done a Diva Challenge in awhile, but I checked this one out this week and did a tile as a morning meditation. Guest blogger and CZT Henrike Bratz from Germany asked all to create a tile using Diva Dance and her fragment, Lisbon.
I chose to do the challenge on a 3Z tile, which is Zentangle’s triangle-shaped paper.
I enjoyed this and will be using the Lisbon fragment again! Thanks Henrike!
Here’s another tile I recently did. I started with adding color with Koi watercolor markers.
Life’s been a bit hectic lately and I’ve been in “preservation mode” — preserving my energy and doing lots of self-care practice as I navigate life. I haven’t been able to continue my monthly mandala drawing and give away, and I have not been able to teach classes. Riding the beautiful (and complicated) wave of life! Much love to all.

I’m glad you found the energy to participate in this week’s Zentangle Diva Challenge. The Lisbon Fragment is indeed a challenging tangle, but worth the effort. Hope you continue to persevere in preservation. Preservation is good. Sometimes we don’t recognize we need to be mindful of the need until we crash and burn. Not recommended.

Thank you Suzanne! That’s for sure — preservation is important. Being mindful of when one needs to withdraw or even just not do ALL THE THINGS. Hope you’re doing well!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who sometimes feels the need to step back and smell the roses. I have to remind myself that these challenges I do are self imposed and no-one suffers if I devote myself to something else for a while. Based on what I see here, you time out has been a boon and a blessing – the work on both pieces is lovely.

That 3Z tile is gorgeous! Hope to see you again soon (take care, that’s most important).

Beautiful pieces. I’m glad you have given yourself permission to step back when needed. We all could learn from that.

Beautiful flow in your Diva tile! And I am totally with you in your statement about self-preservation.

I can totally relate to self-preservation mode. I take time-outs from other things in my life and check into my art bubble for a bit;-) Thanks for sharing your art. They are both lovely pieces.
