Hello from my new little corner of the interwebs!
I’ve fully transitioned from my “Line Circle Dot” blog over to this website, where I’m fully embracing the Zentangle enthusiast in me!
As a usual post, here are my tiles that I did for two different Zentangle challenges put out by two Zentangle lovers. These first two tiles are a response to I Am the Diva’s weekly challenge — to use two tangles in one tile, aka a “duo-tangle.” Those tangles (the patterns that are used in the piece) have to start with the first initial and last initial of your name.
I couldn’t stop there, so I did another one. This time with Knightsbridge (and something that’s not Knightsbridge, but similar) and Cirquital, both official Zentangle patterns. Neither am I a big fan of. BUT, out of my boundaries of comfort, and I do think I like this tile.
Tackle It Tuesday – a challenge by Cheryl from Artful Creations
Cheryl’s been doing an alphabet-based challenge for the last 21-ish weeks, and this week’s focus was on tangles whose names begin with the letter U. Turns out I used the same tangles that Cheryl did — unknowingly! Those tangles are Umble (an official Zentangle tangle) and Unyun by Carole Ohl.
This is on a Renaissance tile — which is 100% cotton paper, so it’s really interesting to draw on. It makes you have to slow your pen down–otherwise, the paper fibers come right up and your pen nib gets really angry and gnarly.
I’ll be holding my first class on Saturday, September 20, as part of a monthly potluck hosted by a healing center in Leicester, Mass. Because this is a non-profit organization and my very first class, the cost for this is just a donation to the center and to bring a dish for dinner!
