Challenge #167 featured Punzel & Well in last week’s Diva Challenge, for the Diva’s birthday! {Happy (belated) birthday, Laura!}
I took my tile on the road. Last Wednesday, my mom took me and my aunt to New York City to visit my sister and have some fun in the city.
Bumpy roads, swirvy driving and traffic make tangling even more of a focused effort.
We were in New York until Saturday. I took the rest of the weekend to recover (from lack of sleep), and then get back into the swing of work yesterday.
Here’s the final tile — featuring, Odie.
So, back to NYC.
We had a great time. That’s Mom on the left, me and my aunt on my right, doing a selfie with M&M World (our only shopping experience).
We were on our way to see Wicked (hence my green top). It was Mom’s 3rd time seeing the show and Auntie and my first. I’m so unfortunately critical of musicals, but I was promised this one wouldn’t disappoint. And it didn’t! Tears at the end of Act 1 and the last scene! It was beautiful.
Very cool view of Times Square from our hotel room on the 17th floor.
We went to breakfast with my baby sister who was turning 23.
It rained for much of the time we were there, so we took a tour bus (a hop-on-hop-off) to see the island of Manhattan.
We did no hopping off, and rode in the covered inside of the bus (some brave souls donned ponchos and sat in the top uncovered section — which I tried for a bit — and it was soooo worth it!).
Saw some beautiful architecture to inspire future tiles.
