Erin from The Bright Owl was the guest blogger for the I am the Diva Challenge this week. I love her zendala challenges over at her blog and I like to think of mandalas as my second language so this week’s challenge was a great fit for me!
Before printing out the zendala template that Erin provided in her challenge, I adjusted the transparency of the lines (in Photoshop), so I could print out on white cardstock and tangled on top of it! In this zendala, you can see Mooka, Bunzo, Shattuck, Mssst and Poke Leaf.
I tend to favor the “Zentangle original” tangles, I’ve noticed. But, I do love trying out all tangles.
I noticed that Erin’s got a new tangle she put into the world called Mushnik! Looking forward to trying that!

Mooka! Of course, why didn’t I think of that. Great how you have managed to fill all spaces, you seem to have fit so much into it,

Your zendala has a very ‘vivid’ feeling, nice!

I love how you used the circles at the edges to suggest the top of the Mooka, but basically ignored the rest. I’m so literal, I never would have thought of that! Lovely!

Hi, My first attempt at this was with Mooka but i just couldn’t get it to go where I wanted. (For me, Mooka often has a mind of its own.) Yours works really well and the Pokeleaf is excellent.

Gorgeous zendala! I love the way you used Mooka and the whole thing is so beautifully organic. I’ve avoided zendala’s because I feel like they have to be so precise and that is so not my thing. I’m inspired by your work!
