Hello! Four(ish, maybe five) weeks ago, my husband and I traveled to Germany and Spain to visit some Certified Zentangle Teacher friends and be with the European Zentangle teachers in their gathering. I was very fortunate to be a part of their weekend gathering in gorgeous Competa, Spain.
Yup, this is what the town looked like just outside out hotel where the Zentangle gathering was — windy streets of beautiful white buildings.
And beautiful doors….
There were workshops on all sorts of applications of Zentangle, taught by the participating European Zentangle teachers — mandala creation, paper folding, watercolor, book making were just a sample.
I presented a class that blends Zentangle with therapeutic journalling–we use Zentangle to quiet the mind to then listen to the “voices” of the other places within ourselves — our bodies, emotions and our being, which is the positive core within ourselves.
Here are half of the class’s tiles for my class. The idea is to truly focus on the process of tangling — not the outcome.
I loved meeting everyone.
This is Diana and her sweet tangled shoes!
We did some tangling with glue and glitter (which my glitter-phobe hubby is terrified of!!)
(Marieke Sanchez, Maria Tovar, Ellen Gozeling)
Such beautiful results!

I’ve also been doing a wee bit of tangling myself —
Cyme, for the Square One challenge on Facebook.
And the Diva Challenge #242 for the new Gourdgeous tangle from Rick and Maria!
More exciting news coming soon. I get a little overwhelmed when there’s SO much to tell. 🙂
